The truth of the matter is, I don’t always like what I see in the mirror.
In fact more mornings than not I finish getting dressed, putting on my makeup and fixing my hair and I look in the mirror and frown.
I could lose 10 pounds. I could tone up more. I need to get back on my bike. I could drop a pants size.
But while I don’t always like what I see, I’m part of something bigger. I’m part of a movement that is about being confident in how you look, no matter how many pants sizes you could drop. A movement that encourages everyone to quit worrying about the reflection in the mirror and enjoy their lives. Sometimes I have to dig deep within to find the confidence, but when I do it with a group of diverse, amazing women somehow it makes it a lot easier. So yet again I’ve put a picture of me – in a swimsuit- on the internet for the whole world to see.
For the second year in a row I’m participating in National Swimsuit Confidence week with the Curvy Girl Guide, Lands’ End and Self Magazine. I encourage you to check it out- and show your swimsuit confidence- because you never know what young woman is watching and learning.
